Abstract: Oral cancer is the most common malignant tumor in oral and maxillofacial region in China. In recent years, although great progress has been made in the treatment of oral cancer, but its five-year survival rate is still hovering around 60%. However, early patients’ data can be as high as 90%, so early detection of oral precancerous lesions and oral cancer is of great significance to improve the survival and prognosis of patients. As a simple, convenient and non-invasive method, exfoliative cytology is increasingly used in early screening for cancer. The detection of tumor markers is of great significance to the early screening of oral cancer. With the appearance and development of liquid-based?thin-preparation technique, further progress has been made in the study of tumor markers. This paper summarized the progress in research on screening of oral cancer by detecting tumor markers in oral exfoliated cells.
