Abstract: Composite resins is one of the important materials in stomatology which mainly applied in rest-oration of tooth defect、dental adhesives and so forth. However, it is fact that bisphenol A diglycidylmeth-acrylate (bisGMA) existed in composite resins can be biodegraded by esterase from bacteria and saliva, releasing the by-product named bishydroxypropoxyphenyl propane (bisHPPP), thus decreasing the life span of restoration. The article provides reasons, mechanism of composite resins biodegradation, rewiewing application in the different material and giving method to alleviate biodegradation, which will provide help in the use of composite resins.
